Doorbell doesn’t pick up people standing at my door

What is the right setting for the doorbell? I just installed it, have the motion detector set to the factory setting, and no activity zone.s set up yet. It keeps detecting my parked car’s tire and not my wife’s face who just walked up to the door and unlocked it after her walk. What do we have to do to make the video doorbell actually record a person walking up to the door?

Set the activity zone. Some one else on this forum didn’t do this and it wouldn’t record. After they did it started to record.

You will find lot software bugs in the battery doorbell.

+1 For the above. Seems to work better with the zone.

That’s what happened to mine too. Automatically updated the firmware right after the install and it was connected.

Mines still not recording/notifying even after setting the activity zone. The led ring lights up when I just went to take the trash out but no notifications or video recording. It just not recording anything automatically, regardless of the setting.

Have you tried unpair and re-pair the doorbell from the hub or changing it from all motions to human detection? If you haven’t tried.

Just so everyone doesn’t think they are alone. 2 cam views of the mail lady but no doorbell. Of course the damn thing is right there next to the door. She walked right up to it.

You would think a doorbell cam would do the one thing it is suppose to do out of the box. I get needing to tweak it so you don’t get a bunch of alerts when the wind blows or cars drive by. But to not record a person walking up to the door…

On a funny note. My works perfect and picks up people 40 feet away as long as they park in view so their tire is picked up as a face!
Not really funny!!
