So, a couple of years ago i installed an Aqara video doorbell as it worked with my then Apple Homekit set up… i have recently noticed the batteries arent lasting half as long ad they used to, ive checked the settings, i used different batteries, but it just goes through fully charged and new batteries in about a week - does this happen with the Eufy doorbells??
Wanted to check before replacing the stupid Aqara one…
Thanks folks!!
Hey there!
I can’t speak for all Eufy battery Video DBC but I own an E340. This device has a rechargeable lithium battery pack. I have it in a good place so my scenario is probably better than a lot of folks. Covered porch and it only picks up people and packages. My conservative number is about 5-6 months on a charge. There are busier months and seasons, and I get about 4 months in that case (Halloween/Thanksgiving/Xmas)…this is when I get more people using my front door and lots of packages.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Hey! So battery life is a fickle thing. In general the battery will last shorter with more captured events.
That being said, I’ve had really good success with my Dual Battery doorbell for nearly 4 years now. I can easily get several months of use with it, without needing to detach and recharge
@sea100 in relation to your question on battery Doorbell. This link will give you access to a write up I’ve done on Battery doorbells. You may find it useful with your issues.
If you took it apart, you’d probably find that it’s a Samsung or some other high end type of battery… but ya, they’ll go bad on you over time…
