Just charged my C30 doorbell to 100% yesterday, and in <1 day it’s down to 12%. I know the temperature is playing a rolez but it seems to be compounding another factor.
The only thing I can think of that may be the culprite is the protocol. I used my samsung s24 ultra charger, which may be too advanced and creating a ghost charge if there’s trouble with handshake.
Anyone know what charging needs are best for this device? I can obviously use the cord it came with, but there was no charging block included.

How many videos did the doorbell cam detect? Also how’s the Wi-Fi connection to it, is the signals strong?
If the signal is weak or possibly disconnecting from your Wi-Fi and trying to reconnect constantly will cause the battery to drain.
It maybe be an issue with that chargers protocol… I can’t say, the specific charging requirements are printed on the rear of the doorbell.

thanks. went through a similar article linked in battery settings before posting, and weighed all of these out, tho. the only setting changes since the prior charge should have reduced battery drain. detections yesterday were also much lower than usual. additionally, live view was activated notably fewer times than in prior days, with sessions far more brief. outside temp. has also been fairly consistent, but the warm house ⇨ outdoor drop shock does seem to be another possible contributing factor.
I have two of these. Same quick loss of Charge on both. Even when I set them to do no work battery is drained in about a month. Hooked up to a 10 watt solar panel. For a while it kept the battery between 70 and 90 %. Unfortunately since winter started it doesn’t get as much sun and battery soon went dead again. I have a device that plugs into a light socket and delivers 5v 1a steady. I’ll try it once the snow is gone. Gonna need a 20 ft USB cable but I think it will work. Got the device for light socket on temu. Have not seen it anywhere else.
the list of videos from yesterday seems to be shorter than almost every day prior (which it held charge for many days). shortly before charging it, i reduced motion sensitivity to 3, so it should have been triggered much less. i also wasn’t home most of the day, and only briefly checked it live once or twice.
my router is <15ft away, but i have verizon fios—which is strong and typically reliable. though it can have days where it needs a few reboots. didn’t happen to me yesterday, but i hadn’t thought of the possibility that it may have had trouble while i was away — so that could be a possibility, too. thx.
i read that the wired versions couldn’t connect to solar devices, so i think i bought the battery only version. think that was a forum comment, so I’m sure it was just incorrect.
prior to this i had a super unreliable vidoe doorbell from aliexpress that proved keeping the wired doorbell as a secondary/backup may be useful, and hadn’t even considered connecting it to the outlet three ~3ft below.
I still have my solar walkway lights up, because I’ve been observing the same thing you mention. some days they still get enough sun to stay illuminated nearly untill dawn. some days the whole lot of them is drained and dark before 9pm.
If it has usb charge Port you can power it. However source must be USB class. I have a eufy cam 2 that has a very w eak battery. I connect it permanently wired to USB class power. It’s been running fine for more than a year.
