I just put up my first E340 floodlight cam overlooking my driveway, and I’m getting a ton of false alerts. I’m getting “Someone has been spotted” when nobody is there and it appears to be triggering from water spots on the driveway. I’m also getting “A vehicle has been spotted” for the vehicles that are parked in the driveway that aren’t moving. I’ve tested both with and without an activity zone with no impact. I don’t want to make the activity zone not capture these areas as it’s where I want to capture movement if people are tampering with our vehicles. I’ve also taken the sensitivity down to the next to lowest setting, but I fear it may not pick up motion in other light. I’m guessing that the sun rising and hitting different areas seems to be causing the false alerts as I don’t seem to get as many when the sun is higher.
I’m also running the E340 standalone with a memory card as I only have a Homebase v1 for Homekit reasons. Would ditching the Homekit tie and going to Homebase v3 help eliminate these pesky false alarms?

Thanks for the response. I’ve already been through most generic settings listed in that tip page. I will say that today it is overcast and there haven’t been any false alarms, so it has to be just related to the lighting. I am missing some events though with my sensitivity down lower.
If you get a home base 3 I would turn off all other motion. Just leave on facial recognition. Vehicle detection. People and pet detection. I was getting tons of false triggers with my e30. Still testing as I just added a home base 3 to a Polebarn system. No false alarms yet but just increased the motion detection range to test.
I have the exact same issue with false alerts when it rains with my 6 flood light cameras E340. There is no difference connecting to the Home Base 3. I have that setup and still have false alerts with Only humans.
It is very annoying to have false alerts at 3 am.
I ended up turning off notifications which makes the cameras pointless.
I have 6 cameras and need an urgent solution of this issue please.
