Hi all, I have read a number of the fairly numerous posts regarding spare Homebase units that result from purchasing two eufy products where BOTH come with their own homebase included, eg as in my case eufy C2C and security system. The answer from eufy that the second, spare base unit cannot be utilised as a secondary/repeater siren or additional local storage bank is frankly ludicrous especially when the supposed internal 105 db siren in the Homebase 2 is quite likely to be drowned out by anyone with a hefty case of flatulence! Don’t misunderstand me, I’m otherwise very happy with my eufy products, BUT either market the homebase as a separate but essential component so that we are not paying for something that’s surplus to requirements or fix it and find a solution so it can be linked as I and a number of people have suggested; afterall individual camera sirens can be linked to sound using the Homebase siren activation as an automation trigger so why can’t it work bidirectionally?? OR get a move on and produce an external add-on siren as an accessory or pair up with an acceptable market competitor whose siren procuct could be made compatible to do the same thing. THE IDEA OF AN ALARM IS TO SCARE, DETER AND ALERT, not quietly and timidly ask the intruding individual to kindly replace items back where they found them and show themselves out! At the moment the latter is a more fitting description of the Homebase 2 siren!

I’ve seen this topic come up a few times these last couple of months. It’s ludicrous to think that we’re buying these Homebase 2s for no reason but also to think that there is no external alarm.
It’s funny to think that Eufy does make a stand a loan doorbell alarm plug, but they can’t get it to pair with the Homebase 2 product line.
