Had Eufy app working just fine on my older Asus Tablet (Android 6) now after the newest update it wont even open. Just says “Unfortunately Eufy Security has stopped”
Bluestacks now just shows a white screen. I verified this as I had an older version of the APP on other PC and an Identical Tablet and it worked fine… but as soon as I updated, they both would not work.
I have 2 Pixel phones that seem to have no issues displaying the app.
I would use the web based to view the cameras… but it times out after 5 min. I am kind of regretting leaving Wyze for Eufy
What would be nice is if you were able to cast the cameras to a device such as a chromecast… but you cant… I can get them on my google displays… but its hit or miss and times out after 5 min. I think it would be cool if you made a streaming device that connected to the Homebase and allowed you to view the cameras locally.
I am currently using a PC with Bluestacks v4 and found the same issue as you reported on v4.6.3_1668. I just rolled back to v4.6.1 and Bluestacks works now. We also have an older Samsung tablet on Android 8 and several other devices on newer versions of Android that don’t appear to be affected.
If you are using Bluestacks v4, you might try upgrading to v5 and see if that works. V5 handles newer apps better than v4.
I did get bluestacks to work by going back to the last known working firmware. but my tablets are not having it. its time to update them anyway. Eufy said it would work all the way to android 5… but that appears not to be the case.
Given Eufy’s lame coding and support, they may say it works with Android 5, but I’ll bet they never test their changes with versions going back that far. In fact, I’m not sure they do much testing on current versions of Android and IOS.
