eufy Breastfeeding Month | Expert Explains: How is the S2 different — and where’s the heating?
The S2 keeps the smart programming you already love — but the hardware is a completely new design. Here’s what changed, and why it matters for your pumping experience:
1. The heating is no longer inside the flange
On earlier eufy pumps (S1, E10, E20), the heating element is built right into the flange — pull it off and that is the heating element, plugging straight into the motor. The S2 does it differently. It comes apart into three pieces:
- The container — holding the duckbill and diaphragm
- The motor — the donut shape, with a soft indicator light
- Four small discs — spring-loaded vibrating motors that create the warmth and vibration
2. Vibration works through a new mechanism
Most pumps create vibration by moving the motor inside the hub. The S2 uses those four independent discs instead. And because eufy’s mounting quality stays top-tier, the vibration is controlled — just delivered in a brand-new way.
3. One thing to know before you buy
Because this is a novel design (not a generic one), there are no universal third-party parts — you’ll be using eufy-specific parts, so keep that in mind when planning replacements.
