Eufy cam 2 Pro battery or constant power

Also… do you have a hb2 or HB3?

Agree, maybe a bit up and more angle to capture full car

I have the hb2

Why the all motion?

The previous spot was perfect but 12 - 15m which is really tol far to get detection working, right?

Just an FYI if you didn’t know this…. Your HB2 will switch to all motion when it gets dark enough for night vision. This might change things at night for you…. So test in all motion so you see how it’s going to behave at night.

Would the long distance maybe work then you think? Close to 40ft. I only tested at daylight with hunan detection only and it did not trigger until I came closer

That looks a lot farther than 15 ft. Testing in all motion is the smart thing to do before you start filtering it. Walking up the drive I highly doubt it would trigger…. Across the drive maybe? You could even try between the garage doors…. But again not a great angle . This is where a motion sensor might be a option. I know you are afraid of your cams getting wet and sun… but you shouldn’t be. Just make sure the little door over the charge port is clean and seated properly…. And the camera is mounted correctly. They just need to be mounted correctly so they drain off . Covering them up (like I do) with tape and crap is a big mistake. I have been lucky so far.

Oh… edit is see. 40 ft no. You might get a really hot car on a cool day. Perfect horizontal angle.

Yeah made a translation mistake in distance, close to 40ft to car end.

I think best option would be on wall of the house, downwards to the car, just about the white cassette.

Before you go out and buy a motion sensor…. Remember you have a second cam. Set the rear cam to all motion and set the mode with rear cam recording off and notifications on. This will keep the PIR active. Then set an animation… if rear camera detects motion, then front camera records.

Move the rear camera up front and test away. This works exactly the same as a motion sensor and you can test if it’s going to work for you… for free!

This American apologizes for that! We really need to get with it. I personally blame president Jimmy Carter for this mess. :joy:

But having the 2 camera’s (where 1 of them is now already in the backyard) does not makes sense for me at this time. It is still about the position of the front camera. If it can detect motion, it can also record video based on that. But I like your idea here.

I think you misunderstand what I’m saying. You can use your back camera to TEST ONLY how a motion sensor would work for you on your front camera. This is all about your front camera and it’s positioning and triggering. This would give you an idea how a motion sensor would work for you on your front camera before purchasing one.

ahhhhhh got it! An experiment, got it. Sorry for the misunderstanding

I am back
I positioned the camera above the cassette of the side window. Seems to be a good position.

The only thing is that it would be great that it would spot a human earlier then on the picture below

It looks like it does that in the evening a bit better

This is the first detection point where human is being detected

Not sure how to get further ahead.
I set sensitity to 6 now
And this s the activity zone
