I have a battery powered doorbell and separate chime plugged into mains, at 3:45am phantom chime, video is recorded of my path but no one present, very unnerving.
Same issue here with hardwired T8203. Started about an hour ago and goes off every 2-3 minutes. No solution online!? Eufy…help?
I also have a battery powered doorbell and base station plugged into mains, had a rude awaking at 2:00am this morning, there is a video recording but no one there.
Eufy help, dont want this happening again!!
Eufy dual camera wired, installed just over a year ago, so warranty expired. Started ringing multiple times this morning, unplugged chime, restarted. Still happening. No electrical storms or unusual weather. Power seems stable and good. I expect no support as well from the tech department. Worked great the last year, but this is annoying.
I have the same issue, I thought it could the water getting into the system but there is other people with different issues.
Eufy doesn’t monitor this board. Its users only. Once in a while they will post marketing like info or tips.
I have had the T8210 for over 4 years and never experienced any phamtom ringing on either the hard wired chime or the Homebase. My firmware version is 2.2.4.6 and its current.
Same problem here… doorbell 8210 wireless with base 2. 4 times this year. Biggest problem is, that it happens at night. I have the newest software.
Got this doorbell for 2 years now.
We have an E330 Video Doorbell and ours had gone off around 10 times in the past 45 minutes, but I can see that the sun is shining directly at the main doorbell camera so I am wondering if that has something to do with it as it hasn`t gone off before now. We live in Scotland see, so sunshine is a bit of a rarity so it may need to be strong sunlight at a particular angle to set it off.
We have experienced the same problem several times.
The first times it was also during the day when the sun was shining full on the doorbell. I also thought it had to do with that.
But this night the homebase started ringing again by itself with the message that the doorbell was pressed. After a few times, I deactivated the doorbell in the app, but even after that, the homebase kept “ringing” every x time with the notification that the doorbell was being rung.
I’m using a Homebase 3 with firmware version 3.5.0.9
Just had the phantom rings twice in 10 mins. Got a ring, notification and recorded event, but no one there. First time it’s happened since buying about 8 months ago. We have the battery powered C210 model. Sun was shining directly at it and seen some other people mentioning this happening. Firmware all up to date etc. Very strange and disconcerting.
My S330 Homebase & dual cam doorbell just started doing this. The homebase kept chiming about 5 times a minute with no one there. Tried rebooting the homebase but didn’t stop the problem. I then physically pressed the bell & that has stopped it repeating but will have to see for how long. I also have the sun shining directly on it but that has always been the case.
I tried to contact service with this problem… I’ve send video of the ghost ring and logging… they react to slow so the 3 day logging is gone. I tried 3 times now… the service of Eufy is horrible…
I do not have a DBC, but it sounds like the contact spring fatique. The contact gap may be very small. Under hot or cold the contact may bend itself like bi_ metal thermometer.
You need to submit a lots of log to Eufy.
Happened last night. 1:30am. False rings. I have had my S330 for about a year, never had an issue like this. The first ring startled me, especially after seeing nobody at the door. Then a few minutes later. Then again. The dog started howling, it was mayhem. After checking all my other outside cameras I determined it was freaking out so I deleted it from the app.

So, this thread is over two years old and Eufy has not responded or acknowledged this issue?
I also have the issue where it rings without anybody there. We had the issue before, had the feeling it was a lot less for a while and now it comes back a lot more frequent lately.
If anybody (EUFY??) has a solution that would be soooo nice!
This is the only reason I am looking into buying a Ring doorbell.

I’ve had this same issue with cameras as well causing my phone to ding as if someone is there but not really. Today I had the door bell ring on its own. I was able to fix my camera where it stopped dinging my phone. So I applied the same process with my door bell. I removed the door bell from my door bell chimer from app on phone because I synced my door bell to the doorbell chimer. I also unplugged the door bell chimer. Then plugged it back again to let it restart with internet. Went on the app to the doorbell chimer and started sync process again. Synced my door bell to the doorbell chimer and haven’t had any more issues. Also, this was the same process I did with the cameras thats synced to my home base 2. Haven’t had any issues with camera know for almost 2 months. My cameras and doorbell is battery operated.
Remove your device from your app. And re-sync it. It should stop the problem.
