Eufy hardwired outdoor camera

Hi

I have a Eufy hardwired outdoor camera that has been working for the last 2 years. Today it went offline. I turned it off at the power source for a while ( a few hours) then turned back on. Went offline again in a minute.

Turned wifi off at the modem. Left that for a while then turned back on. Still no good.

What else can I do and why all of a sudden is it not working after running great for 2 years? I checked for updates ( all good).

I am loathe to remove and then try to add again as it took forever to get it when I first got the camera. My phone would not scan the qr code so had a neighbour ( who is an IT bloke) add it ..( he does not live here fulltime).

Any suggestions?

Could it be a loose cable? Have you tried unplugging at both ends waiting and then plugging the cable ends back in? Make sure they click in

It is hardwired in. Cannot unplug it. There is a switch ( like a light switch) which you can turn it off and on with. I have done this.
The lights still come on from motion but the red led light is no longer on, no alerts, no video. Go to camera on the app and says offline.

If you have power cycled both the camera and home base and also tried restarting both without success I think the only option is to take it down remove it from the app and factory reset the camera by holding the sync button for 20 seconds. What model camera is it ?? If it is the E330 I have 9 set up and the bad news is that Eufy has discontinued them and I can’t find replacements at least in the :united_states: there’s still a few 2 & 4 camera kits available for now but no single units. But so far anytime one of mine has gone offline it’s come back after doing the above resets

Try the IT trick—reset and reboot. Press and hold the sync button. If you get the flashing lights—do the reconnect. If not—-time to replace the unit. E340 is very nice, just replaced my old floodlight after 5 years—one light burned out and it stopped connecting to wifi

Can’t take it down as it is hardwired in and I am not playing around with wires :).
Have a friend coming down who is an IT bloke, later this week.
Will do try the sync button ( have to climb up a ladder).
If not will remove from app and add it again which I am loathe to do as it took hours to setup again as my phone would not read the QR code ( which I haven’t got anymore) and the serial number wasn’t accepted. A friend had to do everything on his phone and send to me.
Plus we are going away soon and I don’t want the lights to stop working altogether…

Try to take a picture of QR code with your friends phone and inlarge it a little and then use your phone to scan it I’ve done that before successfully. Don’t forget to factory reset it after removing it from the app

Have no QR code. Lost it and the box.

I’m pretty sure it is permanently etched into the body of the camera weather it’s on the backside of the housing where it mounts to the house or around the outside 99% it’s there

Do a google search “ where is the QR code on Eufy camera (enter your model number) it will show you I just did that now but I don’t know your model so I said flood light camera and it came back with the exact answer I gave you in my previous post.

And the serial number you can find in the app under the device settings >general>about it’s listed there and you can use that if you can’t get to the camera for the QR code just write it down before you remove it from the app

Got the serial number, like you, from the app. If qr code is on thw back ( mounted) no good to me). Lets just hope it works. This always happens when we are going away. Last time there were vlackouts lol..
Maybe the world is telling us not to go away !
Fingers crossed. Thanks for all the help and suggestions
