Failed to Request (-148) error - Any fixes?

I have the Eufy HomeBase 2 with 3 eufyCam 2 Pros. Over the last several months, I’m frequently getting “Failed to Request. (-148)” when I try to watch live video, playback clips, or even reset the HomeBase through the iOS app. This seems to have started after a firmware update late last year, but I can’t say for sure. I opened a case and they suggested many things that did not resolve the issue:

Reset and disconnected the cameras.
Reset and restarted the HomeBase
Wiped the storage.
Checked for latest firmware.
Delete and updated the iOS app.

Super frustrating and basically unusable at this point. Supposedly this was reviewed with their engineers and they think the wifi module is broken (hardware problem). Their only solution was for me to buy a new setup and they’ll give me a discount. Has anyone been able to solve this problem?

I’m getting the same error. I changed over to a new base station and still getting this error. I couldn’t format the SD card in the other storage unit. Hopefully we can find a reasonable solution.

That’s exactly why I don’t want to upgrade to another Eufy. Since they don’t understand the root cause, I have no confidence that getting a new base would help, and you’ve validated my concern.

What I find is go to apps on your phone find you fee clear cache sometimes that helps then turn phone off and restart after a few minutes that’s better than going through all these steps with a home base :grinning:

Go to settings on your phone then go to apps. Then fine eufy app, clear cache. Useless that fixes most issues. Good luck :grinning:

Thanks, but I’ve tried this several times before too. It may help for a day or a week, but then comes back. Not a long term fix, which really should be provided by Eufy.
