Floodlight Cam stick in sync mode

Hi there - anyone help with a 2K Pro Floodlight Cam stuck in sync mode? It went offline and I removed it from app but now can’t get passed red flashing light.

Have you tried turning off the power to it?
Pressing the SYNC button rapidly five times?

Definitely turned power off and held sync button down for 15 seconds to try reset (which didn’t work) but have not tried rapid 5 times but will now.

Made no difference.

Have had power switched off to it for a couple of days and this time when turned back on I noticed the infra-red night vision lights were on and don’t seem to recall them on when trying previous times.

It’s just the Bluetooth syncing that’s not working and seems stuck.

When power initially comes on the red light is solid red and then the camera clicks into action and spins around, followed by the dreaded red flashing light - as per attached video.

do you have to do the initial setup next to the home base or modem with this camera like you do with other cameras? Just a thought. I think the flashing red light means it’s not connected to WiFi
I just did a search because I was curious myself.
Makesure you have bluetooth turned on an allow Eufy app to connect to it

Sounds like you have to press the sync button hopefully you can reach it from a window and maybe you can move your modem closer to it temporarily with extension cables so you don’t have to get on a ladder to remove it

Yes I did initially do with modem in side but now it’s wired in by electrician and I can’t uninstall it nor take modem out to it to plug in

Unfortunately if you can’t get to the sync button and you did delete it from the app your going to have to ask someone to take it down so you can readd it. I’m a electrician and always try to mount any floodlights near a window it makes changing light bulbs easier for the home owner.

What I mean by moving the modem sometimes we will get a longer cable connection and drag it through the house to temporarily bring it closer to the camera but if you can’t reach the sync button this won’t help

I can reach the sync button but it does nothing.

I have added the QR code both manually and with my phone but still nothing happens to red flashing light.

Red night lights are on which I don’t recall seeing a couple of days ago.

The store I bought it from are sending someone to take it down and send it away for testing but if it just needs re-added after being uninstalled I’ll hopefully get to try that first. It’s still under warranty

Oh I get it now.
I’ll try moving it closer tomorrow so that I can plug cable into modem and light and then hit the sync button.

Thanks

Barbara

I would definitely try re adding it before you let them take it away. I also recommend finding out what fuse or circuit breaker is powering it because most times (after it has been added successfully) if you have a problem just turning off power for a couple minutes then turning back on will fix any glitches. I also recommended if you ever buy another eufy product either buy it directly from them or amazon because if it is s under warranty they will send you a replacement 1st and email you a return label to send back the defective unit at zero cost to you. They have done that for me if it came from amazon the new one arrived the next day from Eufy it took 3 days. Of course that depends on how close either are to you.
Good luck with the resync

If I can get a long enough cable is it ok for me to climb the ladder and plug in the Ethernet cable and try and re-sync it while there’s still power running through floodlight?

Yes it needs power but be careful on the ladder maybe ask someone for help to at least hold the ladder stable. I don’t know where the sync button is located hopefully it’s not on the back behind the mounting plate. But most are visible maybe you can look on the packaging or online for where it is located before you attempt the climb. You probably don’t need to bring the modem outside just bring it as close as you can inside maybe on a table if there is a window close open it. Don’t forget after disconnecting and moving the modem it will take a few minutes for it to reboot. Check your phone for wifi connection and then bring your phone up the ladder with you but again be careful don’t take any chances please.
Let us know how it goes

No it doesn’t work with the modem just close by as have tried that but when initially setting it up you had to plug Ethernet cable into floodlight and modem before it got hard wired outside to connect to wifi and then take it outside and install it and sync. The sync button is right at the top as we’ve got it mounted upside down and I’ve been up and down the ladder alone a few times now. Will try it again in a few days. Thanks for your help

I don’t think you would connect an Ethernet cable to the floodlight cam??

Perhaps trying this if it’s possible for you…
Shut off the main power to the floodlight Camara, then connect a USB charging cable to the camera and power it with a USB charger.
Then try resetting it with the sync button and then attempt to add it back to the app.
Be safe on the ladder please.

Will definitely try this when I get home in a couple of days and hopefully will have good news to report. Thanks again

I don’t know of any cameras that plug in a Ethernet cable directly for setup , they usually connect with WiFi or bluetooth that’s why I recommend moving it close to the floodlight. Not to be able too plug it into the camera. I think the cable you originally plugged in was a USB cable just to power the floodlight for initial setup. I hope I didn’t confuse you. Be careful on that ladder stay safe

If it gets like this can get “bricked”, I had a S330 camera do the same, in the end managed to get a replacement from Eufy. Now Eufy if it is over 1 year old (without extended warranty) will not help you.

Thanks for this. One year warranty runs out 25th of May but now waiting on retailer to get back to me.

According to Eufy it’s more than likely bricked but just need to get finalised before warranty runs out.

Funny thing is I’ve reinstalled old Solo Cam C210 and so much more is appearing on homebase 3 now. It didn’t do as much with the two floodlights cams connected to it but the old camera had got so much more now.

Thanks for your input
