Google Home and Alexa compatibility

I recently switched over from Alexa to Google Home and noticed the latter is lacking in some functionality. In Alexa, I could set up a routine with my video doorbell (E340) that when it’s pressed, a smart lamp would flash in my family room. In Google Home, I can’t even choose my doorbell as a starter/trigger in a routine.

I tried creating a routine with Google Script Editor since it’s supposed to provide additional functionalities that standard routines in Google Home doesn’t provide, but when I try to validate the routine, I get an error saying that my doorbell isn’t a valid device.

All of my Eufy cameras and doorbell are listed as devices in Google Home and I’m able to view live streams for all of them, but none of them are options as a starter/trigger for routines. You can pick them as an action, but you can only do on/off which makes no sense since they’re always on. There is no motion activated option.

Does anyone know when the cameras and doorbell will gain more functionality in Google Home?

Thanks

+1 for me. I’m now integrating Eufy into Home Assistant to see if this will offer more compatibility with Google Home and Nest hubs.
Poor of Eufy to not respond to this and also the lack of Google integration. It’s like only supporting IOS and ignoring Android.
Not a good look
