Hello. I have a Eufy E340 2K doorbell. It is taking me over 10 hours to charge and still isn’t full bar. Can someone confirm what the led indicator on the battery does whilst charging. Does it flash between green and red or stay on?
Not 100% sure about your model mine is a powered/battery model that gets is charging power from the house wires but a google search says that models that plug in with a USB cable directly into the camera the led ring is yellow when charging and blue when fully charged. it should also show in the app battery pulsing when charging and full battery dots and solid when done. So see what the app is saying if it isn’t pulsing and not showing fully charged maybe try unplugging wait a minute and plug back in. I would think after 10 hours it would be charged They do come partially charged from the factory. Please let me know how it’s going
The LED charging light stay on solid green when charge is complete.
Charging time is 5 to 6 hours from 0%.
I think it’s faulty. The led light is flashing during charge and the app is not showing that it is charging. will contact customer support on Monday. Thanks
Thanks. I spoke to chat support on Friday and they said that a flashing light was normal for charging but I’m sure it is not. Appreciate your confirmation. Will contact them again on Monday.
Try deleting it from the app, factory reset the camera ( usually holding the sync button for 20 seconds) and reinstalling it again as a new device
Hi. I did try that unfortunately it hasn’t helped. Still not charging. I’ve only had it for about 1 month. Hopefully customer support is good.
They are mostly sometimes you have to push them to replace it tell them you have tried everything and you want it replaced. I did this with a camera that I bought through Amazon they ordered a replacement and it actually came the next day. (Several Amazon facilities near me)They emailed me a return label and I sent the defective one back. When ever i call them representative are always busy but after waiting on hold for a couple minutes a prompt will come on for a option for them to call you back and they always have might be 30 minutes or more but they do. Me calling from USA
I assume it’s the same everywhere
Does the battery feel warm to the touch while charging?
As far as the flashing red green light that may be an indicator that battery has an issue??
The manual doesn’t say anything about the status LED, just a photo of charging light colors..
Not warm to touch. I tried for 2 days and just got a flashing led. Just tried again now and it’s static red. Hoping it will be ok now. Thanks
Maybe a silly question but is it the charging cable the one that came with it? have you tried charging it or something else from that cable or outlet ? How about using the home base 3 to charge it using the top USB Port
Troubleshooting steps
-
Unplug the charger, then clean the battery port and cable tip with canned air or very low pressure air about twenty five to thirty PSI. Reinsert the plug firmly until fully seated.
-
Use the original cable or a short, thick USB cable and a wall charger that can supply at least five(5) volts two(2) amps. Avoid laptop USB ports. If you have HomeBase 3, you can try the top USB port as a known good power source.
-
LED guide: solid red means charging, solid green means full. Flashing red or alternating red and green usually means a fault or inadequate power from the charger or cable.
-
Leave on wall power for thirty minutes***. In the app, confirm that the battery percentage increases and that the pack feels slightly warm, which indicates current flow.
-
If there is no progress, try a second known good charger and a second cable. Inspect the cable tip for bent pins or debris.
-
If your E340 uses a removable battery pack, remove it and reseat it. Inspect and gently clean the contacts before reinstalling.
-
Temperature check: charging can pause if the pack is too cold or too hot. Bring it to room temperature and try again.
-
If the doorbell is wired to house doorbell wires, verify the transformer output meets Eufy’s spec for this model and that connections are tight. A weak transformer can prevent proper charging.
-
Power cycle and reset: remove the device from the app, hold the sync button for about twenty seconds to factory reset, then add it again and retry charging.
-
After a successful charge, connect and check for firmware updates in the app.
-
If the LED still flashes after trying two good chargers and two cables, record a short video of the LED behavior and screenshots from the app, note the serial number and proof of purchase, and contact Eufy support to request a replacement battery pack or unit.
Hi. I’m using a Samsung 2A charger and the usb cable that came with the bell. After approximately 4 hours of static red charging led light the bell is not powering on or responding at all. Will contact support tomorrow. Appreciate all the help I’ve had here. Thanks.
The battery is replaceable perhaps eufy support will send out a new battery?
Disappointing service from Eufy. They said i had to wait to be contacted by them by email. I Have not had a working doorbell for 6 days now.
Ugh, you did it through a phone call? If you don’t get an email soon then do the warranty claim service through the app, I find it much quicker that way..
I found Eufy support to be absolutely useless. As much as I dislike RING their customer service is soooooo much better than Eufy
