Homebase 2 - Format Local Memory

Hello,Today I received a notification from my eufy app stating that I needed to format the local memory on my homebase immediately. Going to the app I attempted to format the local memory but it’s been stuck on “preparing to repair”. Later, I rebooted the homebase for several minutes, then tried to format function. This completed to 100% but then said it failed and I needed to try the repair function. Haven’t had any issues since I purchased these cameras and homebase for the past 1.5-2 years. Any suggestions?

I’ve also read about resetting the homebase but I believe I’d have to pair all of my cameras again which will take a few hours to uninstall and reinstall since installation requires the camera to be close to the homebase. I’ve also seen that the homebase 3 is the latest and greatest, is this another way of making the homebase 2 obsolete and force an upgrade?

So far after trying to repair and format, the HomeBase seems to be nonfunctional as it won’t even do live viewing anymore and the base is flashing red. Thankfully? There is a trade in for homebase3, but this should have lasted longer than 3 years

That’s not good :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
I guess it’s time to try the reset before you go and buy an HB3?

If your HomeBase is connected via Wi-Fi try to connect it with an ethernet cable to see if the flashing red LED turns to Blue.

Tried that and it’s bricked, won’t come back to even a blue led. Thankfully my homebase3 came in today, nothing climbing up and down ladders to resync all of my cameras.

Very strange
