Dear Eufy users I have an indoor pan/tilt camera and I have noticed someone keeps powering on the camera when we sleep and watches and the activity LED is red and when we realized and wake up the camera is turned off immediately. Sounds creepy but i have changed the login passwords and still keeps happening.
Anyone has an idea how i can check login history and which devices are login at the moment?
Any help will be appropriated.
Did you share the camera with family or friends in the past? Once they have the eufy app and create an account they might if you gave them permission I believe.
Also maybe change log in details again and this time enable two factor authentication
So… I have several of these cams. When shut off… the cam rolls up and the lens is not visible. My girlfriend is creeped out when watched… so I put a dot of nail polish on the closed camera so it was easy to tell from a distance that the camera was in its closed (off) state for her peace of mind. I also put the app on her phone so she could control all my cameras. Personally …. I could care less…. If anyone wants to look at my stupid butt… go ahead.
Do you have motion detection turned on? If so, it might just be picking stray air currents or light from a window that triggers the motion detection.
Oner thing I found about the indoor P&T cams is they usually wake up sometime during the night and turn on their LEDs and spin around. Usually at the same time almost every night. I found this out because I had a second indoor camera covering my shop and it was recording a detection about 5 nights a week at 4:27 AM. That detection was the first camera waking up and turning on its LED. The P&T camera was probably just phoning home to check for updates. I checked and there weren’t any files transmitted that would be big enough for a video recording, so I didn’t worry about it.
If it bothers you, put it on a smart plug and turn it off at night.
