How did this happen? Unbelievable.

Yeah, it happened about two years ago before I went to rehabilitation after the accident I did contact EUFY and I explained to them the problem while I try to anyway, and they just kinda like overlooked and told me to restart my machine and things like that and then I start playing with it and I called my little nephew over there he’s real life nerd And he told me how they got in and then he helped me switch over to the Apple HomeKit and then that’s when they weren’t able to get in to watch us anymore

I hope eufy can come up with some solutions to prevent this.

they should have a system where the camera can only be reset with a password and it’s geo located to prevent it being stolen. These are expensive bit of kit and you can imagine them being stolen and resold.
It’s in eufy interest to come up with some solution to this and built trust to its customers. The equipment are good but need some additional measures put in place in my view.

So sorry about that. I agree, Eufy needs to do better. I just bought 4 from HSN plus the 3 i already had. They are quite expensive. If that’s how easy it is I may just send them back. Don’t want to be out so much money but I pray they come up with something to protection out purchases.

Hi, may I have more detail? Did the thief steal your cameras placed outside and homebase placed inside?

Yeah there’s equipment is nice but security is not very well I worked with a private detective to find out who broke into the system and was watching me for months until my nephew a tech get he told me to get with Apple and let them take over the system I started the process and they where not able to get back into cameras once I did that but that home base is a hackers dream it’s easy to break into FYI I’ve switched to Arlo know though just be careful with these system use a VPN and your own network or cloud

That’s Eufy for ya!

So sorry to hear that!

I have seen in the comparisons and product info for some products:
“Anti theft: Yes”
“Anti theft: No”
Does anyone have any idea what that means?

I just purchased the eufycam S3 pro and it has a feature that once you get it in the spot it gonna be permanently if you move it at all the alarm goes off on the camera and your homebase

Basically what that does is (if you activate it) trigger an alarm when it thinks it is being moved/adjusted/tampered with.
It will sound an alarm/siren from the camera itself, from the HomeBase and give you a notification on your phone.
