I built a pyramid out of magna tiles to see if the Eufy E28 would be able to detect and avoid it. Unfortunately it took down my pyramid and I was pulling magnetic tiles off the bottom of the vacuum.![]()

After it smashed into it, it looks like it tried to turn around and flee the scene of the crime lol

Its like it was like it hung around the scene to assess the damage, but once it saw me watching it was time to keep moving and pretend it didn’t even notice![]()

Unfortunately for the vacuum some of the magnets stuck to under chassis and it left a trail of evidence straight back to the base station.![]()
The unit is good with obstacle avoidance but Ive noticed that sometimes it will slow down considerably while trying to assess a situation. The vacuum will proceed slowly and nudge the item. If the item moves the vacuum will continue forward pushing the item along with it until it eventually plows through the obstruction and deflects off of the front bumper. If the item doesn’t have any give then the robot vacuum will turn around.
nice try robot
Too funny
These are the type of test I want to do, I have had a few different brands over the years, and I find this to be so much fun the. To just let it schedule clean
I’ve been trying to think of fun test to put the vacuum through. I want to make it fun and interesting without damaging the vacuum or obstacles.
The other day my wife saw me come in with a bag of powdered sugar (to actually bake with). The first thing she said was "please don’t spread that all over the floor just to see if the vacuum will pick it up…"![]()
If you have any fun ideas(that don’t involve confectionery sugar), please let me know.
At least you had fun!
I try to enjoy the small things-
Running and maintaining a robot vacuum…a chore. Building an obstacle course for 5 minutes beforehand…leisure and entertainment!
What did we learn from this my friend. Lol.
I’m still stuck on the magna tile pyramid over here. ![]()
