I had two deliveries today at my front door and my doorbell camera didn’t capture any of them, while my garage floodlight camera did. Why is my doorbell missing events where people walk all the way up to the door? I have observed this many times.
Maybe check motion settings and make sure your WIFI is strong there.
Not sure tho for wired ones, but I have notice this issue for a wireless doorbell. Also, WiFi is big factor here. Should be near the router.

Dang… hopefully they come out with an update to patch that bug, I’d set my sensitivity on high and see if that helps at all
Doubtful. I’ve had my S330 Video Doorbell / Smart Lock for almost 2 years now and it’s always done what you’re describing for the most part. Wi-Fi signal is always strong and the only thing that you can really do that will “help” it register motion or to record video clips more often is to constantly do the recalibrate door lock feature.
It seems whenever you do that, it resets something that tends to help it. I also have the power management set to record an event with only a 5-second in between and for it to record for 2 minutes. So in the odd event that it does actually trigger it to record like it’s supposed to, at least it will have 2 minutes of video that might catch something it wouldn’t have the second time around.
Wastes the battery for sure, and I also have the sensitivity to Max or 20 ft. I’ve tried doing I think it’s called the activity areas too where you can set part of the screen for recording or triggering motion events along with having every single type of motion check marked such as human recognition, human detection, pets, vehicles and all motions etc.
But really none of that ever really helps, it just seems to be recalibrating it all the time that does something. I’ve even had them warranty of it out before with no success. I had hoped that getting the home base 3 might change things, all it did was basically take away the Wi-Fi bridge from me leaving me with less options I believe for a Doorbell Chime and that’s about it.
Check battery level, clean the camera and sensor and set motion to highest level.
