If you're using

If you’re using Eufy devices on mobile 5G, be aware they may fail to connect unless you’re on Wi-Fi. The issue is CG-NAT, common on mobile networks, which blocks the P2P connection Eufy relies on for live view and notifications.

After testing multiple devices (eufyCam 3C, Doorbell C30, HomeBase 3), I confirmed this isn’t hardware-related. Using a VPN (e.g., Surfshark) restores function instantly.

Eufy support confirmed:
“Currently, the firmware does not support automatic fallback to a cloud relay when P2P fails due to CG-NAT.”

They’ve escalated to engineering for review. In the meantime, mobile access over 5G is unreliable without a VPN.

Posting this to help others avoid the support loop—and to encourage Eufy to prioritize a fix.
