Indoor Camera (E220) Short USB Power leads

Hi Eufy

I recently purchased the Solo IndoorCam E220 (P24) 2K Pan&Tilt camera and was disappointed by the short length of the included power lead, especially since I want to mount the camera on the ceiling. After checking the Eufy website, I noticed that extension leads are only available for USB-C devices, and none seem to support Micro USB connections, which is what my camera uses.

I know you can purchase Micro USB leads from Amazon, but not many of them specifically state that they’re suitable for Eufy indoor products—they usually just list phones and tablets. Plus, I’ve seen people mention that with longer cables, there can be power loss. I’m confused about whether these longer cables would work properly with the Solo IndoorCam E220.

Does anyone know of reliable Micro USB leads around 4–5 metres long that definitely provide enough power for the camera to work? Also, it would be great if Eufy could consider producing longer Micro USB leads in the future to make ceiling mounting easier.

Hi
I am also facing the same predicament, I need a 6M cable or male to female cable compatible with the Eufy C210.

I don’t know why it would make a difference. If it doesn’t work amazon will take almost everything back for a refund within 30 days of delivery

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I’m aware of Amazon’s return policy and I do use it when needed—getting a refund isn’t really the issue. What I’m trying to do is get it right the first time, which is why I reached out to the community.

There haven’t been many posts specifically about longer Micro USB leads, which I found surprising given the short length of the cable provided with the indoor cameras (unless you’re using a USB-C model, which is the only cable type Eufy seem to offer as an accessory).

When researching Micro USB leads—which are still plentiful—I’ve come across the same issues time and again: voltage drops, poor shielding, or simply not supplying enough power for the camera to function properly when using longer cables.

I came across this old thread from 2021 which sums up the issue quite well:

As you mentioned, if it doesn’t work Amazon will take it back—but ideally I’d like to avoid the trial and error. That’s why I was hoping others might have found a lead that does work reliably over longer distances.

Thanks again!

I’m currently in the process of installing multiple eufy Security Solo IndoorCam E220 (P24) 2K Pan&Tilt in my home (Ceiling Installation). So, having a 4-5 meter long cable is a must for a couple of my rooms.

I have decided to try these two. I will let you know how it goes.
