That’s definitely an odd way to go. When someone is that drunk, their pain tolerance can increase to very dangerous levels. There are definitely pros and cons with blocking pain receptors and not being able to feel anything.
OMG, he was completely lost it, barely functional as a human being… It’s just a matter of time before something horrible happens to him or worse other innocent people 
my grandfather. He was a wonderful man, full of stories and wisdom, but he struggled with alcohol for many years. It affected his health and our family in ways that were hard to forget. Seeing him go through that made a lasting impression on me.
It’s best not to get drunk alone, as it can lead to many unconscious dangers.
