Same here on my battery powered doorbell. Don’t understand why it doesn’t show more room on the SD card?
Only way is to format it. Though it will overwrite on the older images if you run out of space, if you have it set up that way to do so.
I started using the camera in June 2021, but the app is only showing events from October 2021 onwards.
So its got to be videos from June to September 2021 taking up that 40GB space.
Just don’t know how to access them.
If I reformat the card I will loose any chance of accessing that data.
Its not very user friendly is it?
The app limits footage until 90 days. I thought data prior to the 90 days would de deleted. If you’re correct, it means that they are only hiding the footage, not delete it.
Sometimes records get orphaned by the database and cannot be retrieved because the record key is gone. A good example of that is removing the camera from the app and re-adding it. Many times this leaves behind old events, but since the camera gets a new key when re-added, the events are still held in memory but cannot be accessed or removed. The only way to reclaim that memory is to format the card. You aren’t hurting anything by doing that since the events cannot be accessed or reclaimed anyway.
Based on the same experience with a C24 outdoor cam:
You probably have it set for continuous recording. Deleting events doesn’t remove that data. Turn off continuous recording and format the card to start over. I think that you can go to Playback from the Live screen and delete from there too.
