Just thought i would post with my initial thoughs on my new Eufy camera set up system and see how others are getting on with it.
I have moved from a Google system due to the cost or Google cameras and the ongoing subscrition.
Im currently running
4 x E3330
1 x home hub 3
2 x e30 indoor cameras
1 x C31 door bell
Pros are: better quality recording, lower camera cost and no subscriptions.
Cons are: some initial issues with gaps in recording but these seem to have been resolved withxrefo reformating the hard drive (time will tell)
Having to have the cameras close to the home base for set up (which was fine) but more diffocult after an install when you need to reset and reinstall.
Notifications are alot slower than on my googlr system.
Im having a lot more false notifications on Eufy, it keeps telling me it detected a human but its either my recycling bin or the garden hose its picking upm
The face recognition is great for picking up faves on the TV but dosnt idenitfy a new face when they are stood in front of the camera or doorbell. It manages to recognise people if i manually lpad a photo of them.
On Google i could click on a person in my libaty and view any images it has of them and remove any that had been matched incorrectly. Im struggling to find this in the Eufy app.
Im really missing the doorbell notifications on my Google home devices as previously ringing the doorbell would not only announce that someone is at the door but also who it was if it recognised them.
Has anyone else missed anything from changing systems, or do you have suggestions on how i can replicate these features?
