Sadly there are a lot of people like that in society these days. I imagine they are conspiracy theorists that are convinced that the Wi-Fi signals are either harming their health, or spying on them.
I meant pray for them. They need are prayers.
BTW … I’ll take an open minded conspiracy theorist anyday over a nosey obnoxious busy body. At least they would be interesting. Nosey people just make everyone around them miserable.
This is true. Interesting as they may be, it would lead to a shortage of aluminium/tin foil in your neighbourhood from all the hats they make to stop the government spying on their brain
Who has to worry about the government when you have nosey neighbors snooping already! LOL
I guess hes using a Deauther device to over load your signal getting it to shut down, only solution i can think of is hiding your SSID (wifi name) in router settings, but if he is a expert, he will get around this. Other option is to change the security to wpa3, but I don’t think Eufy is compatible with this.
People living in close proximity to a wireless system can control the system with software which is sadly available on line and you can view a lot of this illegal software in use via the you tube channel which shows how the hackers use the software.
I know because it has happened to me.
Can anyone advise me about the hard drive for the home base unit in relation the cost of purchase, or does the drive come with the homebase purchase. I am in the UK and the prices are do not show the hard drive for the homebase slot that is featured on the US site . I have the homebase unit with the drive slot
I bought my S3 Pro 2-Camera kit with the additional hard drive and it was an extra £50 on top of the kit price if that helps. That said, it just takes a standard small form Hard Drive which you can acquire from any decent PC retailer.
Hard Drive Specs Needed:
Physical Size: 2.5" Drive
Interface: SATA
Operating Voltage: 5V
Capacity: Up to 16TB storage
In the UK the police do not want to get involved because it would expose the fact that they can hack in to any communication system for investigation purposes , also the government are logging and watching all emails on line and using specific word association’s
My own method now is not to use online shopping with any credit card, I just go to the city shops it is a lot safer .
Even a simple look up for something online and then bookmarking the site is now risky ,as many of the big online public facilities, big places like Look up History sites, gaming sites have all been hacked and all the information stolen.
It is better to write your bookmark’s down in a reporters type notebook, sometimes it is best to use the old ways rather than the new technology that hackers thrive on .
This has happened also to me, but you can get a check your email lol account facility which will let you know if it has been exposed hackers etc.
It will also keep you updated if another attack includes your email account.
You may have vulnerable WiFi items, but it is up to you to do your best to protect your items.
A good all round virus protection App is a good thing .
I consider that I have the best and it is worth the price . and that is avast an amazing product.
Sketchy
Thank you for that Kieren3 .
It would be better to try and get the proper fitting hardrive as it would probably be better to get an original product .
How does he knock it offline? Change your web password or connect by Ethernet
Thanks for your input .
I have noticed the people next to me going to a particular spot each morning when they arrive, I think they must have something there as it is hidden by a parked horsebox .
That is a classic example of your wifi system being hacked , voices coming through other items .
You need to get a virus protector like the one I have stated on here, it scans all of your network for faults and gives you an option to delete anny item you do not recognise, I delete any item as coming up as having no information flagged, I do this every day .
You can get anti hacker software , but I would not use it because I still do not know where it comes from.
It would be great if wireless system camera companies could build i a hacker block of some sort , and the one who does that would see a big increase in sales .
I was just thinking: since solocam doesn’t require a homebase3, can you connect your solocam separately? That way if he knocks your homebase3 offline, you might still have the solocam online. Also, maybe name them differently and use private ip so that he doesn’t know what they are.
If it helps, I don’t think there is a specific Eufy hard drive. When I ordered my kit I got an alert that the hard drive was coming in a separate shipment.
If it helps the one that I got was a Toshiba SATA drive. I think as long as it meets their requirements then you’re all good.
Again: Ethernet connec. Or maybe placing it further from that neighbor’s side would make it harder for him to disrupt? Or maybe that makes it worse? How is he disrupting it. Is this why mine keeps going offline?
