NVR - no audio when playing back videos.

I have an NVR. I can’t get audio from the unit. I even have a line running from the ‘Audio Out’ on the NVR to an amplified speaker. No audio. I have audio on the cam when I open the Eufy app on my phone. And I know there’s audio in the video, because I have downloaded recorded from the NVR to a thumb drive and played it back on my laptop, and the audio is there. Why can’t I get audio when playing back on the NVR itself?!

There’s no audio coming from the display monitor speakers and also from the audio out speaker connection you have?

Maybe a driver didn’t load for the audio? Have you tried restarting the NVR?

Yes, I have rebooted the NVR. I still don’t get audio. But I do have audio on this camera when I open the Eufy app on my iPhone.

When you’re looking at the monitor, the homepage where you viewing your cameras.
Near the bottom corners of the camera views is the speaker icons muted.. maybe a dumb question I’m sure you already looked and checked it out.

Yes you’ll hear the audio in the app and also if you download it to a USB drive and view it on a computer, but the audio is independent between the two.
The audio out to the monitor and auxiliary audio out jack from the NVR is internal that is driven by an audio driver just like a PC.

Take a look through the NVR settings for anything like display monitor or audio out.

Thanks! I have the RCA ‘Audio Out’ jack connected to an external speaker - by an RCA cable - and I still get no audio from the NVR. But I am going to try a different speaker. And yes - I checked the ‘Volume slider’ - to make sure it is turned up. Thanks for your response.

I want you to get this thing working…
You’re watching live view on the monitor make sure the speaker icon doesn’t have a slash across it, also in the app too.
It may have nothing to do with the issue of no audio from the monitor or Aux Jack while viewing recorded events, but unmute them if they are.

If you still have that problem with audio you may need to contact eufy support. It may just be a defective NVR.
