Ordered the HB3 for 119, with another C210. Fearing that I’m about to make my connection issues worse lol.

What are you going to do? Add the cameras that go offline onto the new HB3 that will be closer to them…
Well, ideally I want to try this supposed hack I read in a post from 2023. Just add it to my home and plug an Ethernet cable and pray that it really works to extend the WiFi signal. Currently have my HB2 setup like this, not sure that it’s actually working though.
Today, I tried moving some of my current cameras to HB 2, created a new home added HB2 but can’t seem to add any devices to it. Just kept getting an error message telling me that I have to install a homebase, no matter how many times I install it.
Once I get my recent orders, I’ll be dangerously close to the 16 device limit. Now I’m really starting to worry, if I can’t add to HB2 even with the latest firmware updates (for everything) and app, if it doesn’t work I wasted more money.
Hi, I’m not sure if you can transfer devices from one HB2 to another HB2, how it works like when you have an HB2 and the prompt comes up on the HB3 with the transfer option.
Keep the new home base on the app and then sign out of the app and then sign back in, maybe that will correct the issue of add a homebase.
I get prompted randomly asking me if I want to transfer my devices to another HB since adding the HB2 to my home, but it’s really random not something that pops up consistently like the surveys (ha). But I’m worried that it’ll mess up and I’ll have to do it all manually again.
Guess, I’ll never access those events, just thought the one of my nieces bf being an idiot with black gorilla tape wrapped around his face and head trying to scare me, might be a decent entry when they have those contests.
Possibly you need them both connected via Ethernet cable.
You say you randomly get a prompt to transfer.. though there must also be some setting/option to execute it, also it should also ask would you like to transfer video footage to it.
They are both connected through Ethernet. Yeah it’s not consistent as I said maybe once a week or so it’ll just pop up kind of like the survey links, except this is dark blue and at the top. I think it says transfer devices to another homebase. I recall tapping it the first time but nothing happened.
I’m still somewhat newish I guess to all of this. I started with two S220 doorbells and the HB2 in February, added two e220s in March, then bought HB3 and two solo cam s220s.
I setup the HB3 followed the prompts to transfer everything but it didn’t work, I had to manually add all the cameras and I’m pretty sure I’m not getting access to those events again. I tried back in June as well, when I got the c210 and my first solar wall light. Experienced the same exact thing as now. It’s just as well, HB2 is lacking on the storage side and I’m sure someone will eventually do something in front of my door again.
