Pan and tilt driving me nuts…. Think I need to replace them! Sound detection is off. Have two places in windows, I have to change the default angle every day. They face outside, with sound detection off they have no reason to turn around to inside view. One is in the living room, perhaps it’s still detecting the TV, the other is in the kitchen, I guess it could be detecting the TV as well, but why won’t either of them return to the default angle? I’m tired of opening the app to see the inside of my blinds…
I have the same camera with no issues. Is the front of the camera with the status light facing the direction you want it to return to?
After you face it that direction then tap on calibration under pan and tilt settings
Yes the status light (although I’ve turned it off) is set to face out the window, I have done calibrated it several times, it just goes up and down. When the cameras turn themselves around they’re entirely unresponsive to the app, can’t change the angle, can’t calibrate. You have to go physically touch the cameras, once you do you can actually use the app with them again. I suspect the unresponsiveness may be to poor WiFi signal, yet it shows perfect for the app and my deco mesh.
Kitchen light is always kept off at night, tv in the living room would be the only light for this one and it shouldn’t effect the one in the kitchen with a small hall and a wall between the two. The tv faces the living room window, so it could absolutely be bleeding through the blinds that the dog has tore up a bit. But the kitchen there’s no way I can see it being effected by the TV.
I have really suspected someone who has permissions through the app is playing with them to be honest, but then why can’t I undo what they do with the app?
Maybe if it’s in any way light related it would have to do with the apartment’s motion sensor lights flashing up constantly at night..
And there are several clips labeled pet, from the one in the kitchen’s window. It points to the corner of the window, clips are black and white and there’s a weird bright light (almost looks like a glowing eye) shining in the corner of the window (coming in from outside) but these clips are only from one day, not the entirety of me experiencing this issue.
Ive no experience with the pan and tilt cameras,
I in stalled a 2pc eufy camera in my porch glazed windows, and tried all the settings still got no detection at all,
My previous experience was i had the blink cameras they did the detection through the glazed windows,
My solution was use the eufy motion sensor placed outside, waterproofing with insulation tape which triggered the camera inside,
I think the issue is the camera is facing the window. These cameras were not designed to look through glass. They is a whole host of challenges with reflection of light and sound. If you can get an outdoor camera
I just ordered a wall light cam, will get one for the back too and these things can be cat cams lol
