I must say I find navigating this forum quite odd, so forgive me if this post isn’t in the right spot.
Just thought I’d post the start of our Eufy camera journey. We bought the Eufycam 3 S330 twin kit with the S380 Homebase recently. After 10 days, I returned it. After troubleshooting with Eufy over foggy night time images, the cameras were likely faulty.
So, we went for the S340 Gen 2 this time, with an S380 homebase as well. I’m loving the S340 thus far, the tracking with tilt and pan is fabulous. I have ordered a little hat from Amazon Australia to go with it and help keep rain off of it somewhat.
I agree with you about navigating the forum. I was going to post about my positive experience with switching from Ring to eufy but couldn’t figure out where to post it.
I hope the glitchy video playback, especially the cross tracking ‘stories’, improve over time with software updates. I liked the Ring left to right scrollable timeline very much, it was easy and fluid, but then it didn’t have the cross tracking ability either.
I’m not concerned with the waterproofing, it is to help keep the rain off the lenses. Think of it as a hat to keep it dry so that the images stay clear instead of having rain cover the lenses. They haven’t developed windscreen wipers for the S340 yet so this is something else to help in the meantime
Depending on the positioning of the Eufy S340 Soloar Camera. Determines the performance of the camera regarding the AI tracking. It struggles to track people who are within 1-1.5 meters moving from left to right of the cameras PIR sensor range.
