If Router is still on but no internet, does this take down my S340 cameras, S380 Homebase and doorbell?
If you don’t have internet they won’t work they rely on it. Some cameras if it looses WiFi you might have to put your password back in once it gets wifi again. The home base works better when plugged into the router with a Ethernet cable but will work on WiFi after it’s initial setup. But again yes you need internet. Hope this helps
As long as you’re home still has Wi-Fi the cameras will still function and record.
Though without the ability to access the internet you will not receive notifications or be able to view recordings until your internet connection returns.
I didn’t realize you could have WiFi without internet I just learned something. I think lol
The system doesn’t fully go down if your internet drops, but it depends on the device:
HomeBase S380 → Still records locally and talks to paired cams as long as Wi-Fi’s up.
SoloCam S340 → Standalone, records to its own storage. You can sometimes view locally if your phone’s on the same Wi-Fi, but no remote access.
Doorbell → Same as SoloCam unless it’s paired to the HomeBase, then it benefits from local recording too.
What still works:motion detection, local recording, live view/playback if you’re on Wi-Fi, alarms, and doorbell chime.
What doesn’t:notifications, remote viewing, cloud uploads, smart assistant links.
So basically, your kit still runs locally, you just lose the cloud/remote side until the internet’s back.
Yeah, Wi-Fi and the internet are two separate things.
Even though your providers internet is down your home’s router will still broadcast a Wi-Fi signal.
You just can’t access the internet.
Just wondering why if i disconnect my internet connection does everything say offline? Is there a setting I need to change?
When you cut the internet, the Eufy app can’t reach the devices through the cloud, so they’ll often show as “offline” even though they’re still working locally.
