S340 rotated 180°

Hi all,

I bought a solocam S340 but the main camera is rotated 180°. There is no option in the app to change it. Now my camera is not usable as it’s 180° turned.

It’s not available??
Hmmm… Look in Video Settings. For an option to “Rotate” or “Rotate Image” or video view.
It may also be under General in
Mounting guide

Do you mean the image is rotated or the physical camera? If it is the camera you can manually twist it

I have 2 SoloCam S340 cameras. One day out of the blue (some time in June 2026 I’m gathering), the wide angle lenses on “both” were displaying upside down while the telephoto lenses were perfectly fine. Then one day (no clue when) one of them just mysteriously corrected itself?!?!? Today, I decided to factory reset/reinstall the other S340 in hopes of fixing it but sadly that wasn’t the resolve. I also had major issues with my Floodlight E360 - happened around the same time my S340 decided to do headstands - in this case a factory reset/reinstall was the resolve, thankfully. I’ve had my eufy’s, including the HomeBase 3, since December 2024 with them all being fairly problem free. So what the heck is eufy doing these days to make them become problematic other than apply janky firmware? My eufyCam S330’s have been good so far - other than replacing one under warrant in the early going - so lets hope it stays that way.

Its under video settings

Curious, do both of the SoloCam s340s have the same firmware version?

Correct, the firmware is the same on both being Ver 3.3.4.2. They were supposedly both updated on June 17 2026 @ 02:29:19am & 02:32:19am…

On another note… My wife tells me the Floodlight E360 displayed the image upside down as well at some point but it is fine now… She’s the one who monitors the camera’s regularly not me.

Sometimes the option to rotate is under even the mounting tab My e42 I believe was that way

Nope, that option no longer exists, period.

Don’t matter now as I’m pretty much done with eufy after ANKER’s support told me to go pound sand after they learned my warranties had expired. They instantly ceased to respond to any of my emails now, even though it is pretty apparent my issues are/were NOT hardware related. Or am I the unluckiest person on the planet to have all three of my 360 cameras (S340 x2 & E340 x 1) all exhibit the same problem, then two miraculously sorted themselves out. This is definitely a software issue for sure no doubt about that.

That sucks, yeah when they hear the warranty has expired there’s not much they’ll do for you. They may offer you a discount on a new camera.

When you say factory reset… Did you Remove Device from the app and then hold the Sync button down for 10 seconds for more until you received a confirmation?

Yes, I performed those exact steps but w/o success as the live image still displays upside down.

Funny thing is, all my 360 cameras went awry around the same time. Plus, our “wired” Floodlight E340 - mistakenly referred to it as the S340 - also had other major issue like, not tacking, no detection, no auto flood lights, blah blah blah. Could live view and pan no problem but it had become completely dumb other than that. Required a factory reset too to bring it back on track.

I’m totally convinced this was ANKER’s doing as it was waaay too coincidental that all three of my 360 cameras had issue around the same time in June. Besides this post I’ve also seen a few others that were having the same problem.

Go to pan and tilt setting and select calibration and it will hopefully sort the issue.

Sadly, calibrating fails to rectify.

Well my last resort would be to take it apart and disconnect the battery for a few seconds and connect it back and hopefully that might fix it??
It couldn’t hurt to try with the options your left with.
Look for some videos on disassembly or teardown for the camera.
