SDCard formatting issues

Received a notification in the eufy app stating sd needed to be formatted. It loops recording, was wondering why this appeared? After numerous attempts to reformat the SanDisk 128gb card, even the eufy app fails to recognize it. Looking through the forum here, it seems to be a common issue. Here are a few thing’s ive attempted but no luck.

  • Windows 11 disk management, clear volume, no format option available
  • CMD, diskpart, select disk x and clear attributes of read only
  • Quick format using both ntfs and exfat, failed. Normal format failed as well.
    Any suggestions? Or shall I toss this in the trash.

Eee yeah, trash it.
Sometimes they just fail prematurely or you have one that lasts for 3.5 years.
Camera may have detected it was having a issue recording on to it.
You’ve done enough work on it trying to revive it.

Make sure your home base and or cameras are set to either automatic or to 2.4 ghz wifi band.
Also it may be trying to use cloud storage be sure to check that.
And last but not least, check for firmware updates in the app and in your app store on your phone as well.
