That’s really unfortunate but it’s basically part for the course with Eufy cams at least for me and everyone else I know who has invested in Eufy Security cameras–includes both friends and family to whom I referred / recommended Eufy devices upon discovering their products in late 2019.
Even my 2K cams do not have the level of detail necessary to make an unequivocally certain, 100% positive identification based upon license plates or extremely clear physical characteristics / unique traits, clothing or vehicle specifications that could point law enforcement in the direction of the perpetrator following a theft of opportunity such as what you experienced here.
Perhaps newer cams perform better, but I quit investing in Eufy cams largely based upon lackluster performance of my earlier products and the litany of issues that have plagued the Eufy Security app from the start. Despite improvements, Eufy hasn’t shown enough interest in fixing / resolving long-standing issues prior to flooding the market with their next best, latest and greatest thing…
