Yeah, just seemed odd when I replied over the door bell he walked off.
Worth asking on any local community groups if they know what the person was doing if the laws in your location allow. As there’s actually thieves etc that dress up to look professional like survey people etc but are trying to break in without suspicion, the trying to open the door and walking away when you talk makes it sus. Worth also reporting to local police just to be safe. I remember a few documentaries of armed robbery like this. Better safe than sorry. But asking in local community FB groups is a good place to start as someone could potentially put your mind at ease or confirm something is off, trust your gut.

Doesn’t appear to me that he tries open the door. Looks like he’s likely trying to generate leads for a roofing company or maybe a solar company…
