The biggest problem I have with the system is the fact that the maps get messed up with time. As the robot cleans it gets confused by any furniture that may have moved slightly and tries to rebuild sections of the map. Messes up rooms that I’ve merged and rooms that I’ve divided. After some weeks the schedules basically don’t work properly… Whole areas get skipped and it tries to clean fictitious rooms that don’t exist.
I’ve researched it and the biggest problem is that the Eufy Clean app doesn’t allow you to make a permanent backup of your perfect map. Other vendors do so that if the map gets messed up at all you can simply restore the backup. I understand there’s a revert button but it seems that that just goes back to the last edit… So if you didn’t notice map changes after one or two cycles it’s now too late to go back to your perfect map.
Are there plans to add that permanent backup of the perfect map? Sadly, if not, I might have to look for a different brand after 2 Eufys
