Umm I’m not sure what he was afraid of. There is a neighborhood cat and sometimes (very rare) a skunk 
makes an appearance. That’s still unacceptable to throw the package 
at the door & scare my dogs that proceeded to wake me up. Now I know why my snacks always arrive smashed
