Using indoor C24 outside!

Hi,

I have a C24 indoor that I have pointing out of a window and connected via RTSP to my Hikvision NVR with 24/7 recording.

I know it’s rated for indoor only but can this be used outside under a window ledge (with camera being waterproofed via plastic sleeve and wrapped up) ?

Has anyone tried this? And any tips? I purely want it for 24/7 recording and all motions off. My front doorbell does the notifications. I just saw this as the cheapest way for RTSP camera. The 1080P feed is amazingly clear and perfect. Would be amazing if I could carry out some mods to make it work outdoors.

Well, you could try it out… and also use silicone sealant & if you shield it from the outdoor elements. Only thing is it’s operating temperature rating is 32° f to 104° f. That’s one thing to think about… Oh and don’t forget the humidity <90%
