Video Doorbell 2k, setup issues

Hi, just got the video doorbell 2k, installed and setup as battery. In having 2 issues.

  1. Detection recording isn’t great. I have it set to All motion, highest sensitivity and tried all the recording types. My issue is, if a car pulls into the drive, it will detect and record, but then stops recording when the car stops, and doesn’t record again when someone gets out the car? The only way to get around this is to set the recording time to 60s plus and ensure that stop recording recording when no motion detected. This obviously is far from ideal, as I’ll end up with very poor battery life and lots of footage I don’t need. Anyone else have similar issues, or know how to setup so once motion is detected then stopped and then detected again within say a few seconds to actually get all the footage recorded?

  2. 2 way audio is rubbish. The person at the door can hear me, but I only hear broken words when they talk. It seems to cut in and out every 0.5s or so. Impossible to hold a conversation with someone.

Hoping this is just me and can fix this, otherwise I’ll be returning it, as it’s not fit for purpose. It’s also putting me off buying an add on camera, as I suspect the motion detection issues will be the same!

I’m not sure swapping your unit fora new one would fix your issues either.
