Hello. Got a quick question. I am looking at the Video Doorbell E340. I have 4 Eufy eufyCam 2c Pro’s and they all work in the Eufy App and also in HomeKit via the Home app on my iPhone. Just curious why this doorbell cam says it won’t work with HomeKit and the Apple home app?
Unfortunately not all devices are home kit compatible. I blame apple for certain restrictions. I have a iPhone also and disappointed that I can’t add a lot of my devices and the ones I can apple restricts some of their features very strange.
so the most needed device from Eufy is not able to be connected to HomeKit?
As I said I’m pretty sure it is a apple restriction thing. the couple cameras that I have that are home kit compatible when I go to connect them there is a warning that basically says Apple doesn’t allow all the features of the camera to work so you’re better off just using the Eufy app. Again Apple probably wants $$$ from Eufy to make there app work with Eufy app
This guide says the E340 video doorbell is compatible with HomeKit but the product page for the E340 says it is not compatible…anybody know which is right?
Amazon discerption says it is not compatible with home kit. I found that any thing that is apple home kit compatible there are so many restrictions put on it by apple that you get less features if you connect to it. Just use the Eufy app and get all the benefits
