What is wrong with my Eufy Homebase 2 devices

My first HomeBase starts acting weird. It resettend itself to factory defaults at least once per day and then the base played always the annoying message that it is ready for setup. I manually resettend it but nothing helped.

So I got a new second hand (from someone that bought a set with two cams but only needed the cams) homebase. Setup worked smoothly. But then it lost connection to the cam that is farther away (never any problems with the old base). Okay so I relocated the base in my house. Then the other cam lost connection.

Yesterday both were active and I connected to them remotely. Now both are offline. Sometimes they come back online by themselves, sometimes I have to restart the base (and then they have 3 of 4 connectivity bars).

I’m very reluctant to buy the third base and I’m very close to sell the cams and switch to a different vendor for battery operated security cams.

Anyone else with one of my base problems, and has a solution?

How is the base connecting to the internet? Wired or wireless?
I think, if you are using wireless, then the Homebase/Cam range will be reduced.

Also, some Wifi systems are a bit buggy with the Wireless connection. for example on the Unifi APs with some firmwares we had similar issues like the one you are describing. Switching to a different AP firmware seemed to solve these problems for us.

Thanks for the advice. But nothing has really changed. If it would be the Unifi APs then this should have happend also with the old home base. Its connected via ethernet.
