Why are the hexagonal activity zones so hard to set?

I’m having a really difficult time trying to set the activity zones on my Eufy Solo OutdoorCam C24. Is there some trick that I don’t know about?

Whenever I try to drag one of the corner points, it keeps moving the entire area instead. Also, if any of the corner points ends up behind the edit/delete/add buttons in the bottom right corner, it becomes impossible to move.

I’ve tried connecting a mouse to my phone but even then, no matter where I click, it’s pretty much random as to whether it decides to resize or move the entire zone.

It’s a literal pain. Just try moving the point a little. If it doesn’t move or it moves the whole thing, immediately let go. That’s the only way I’ve gotten to set it after minutes of trying.

what had happened to the grid boxes setting instead of polygon from early days?

I agree, this is a real pain in the butt. It’s worst on the iPhone, and still difficult on the iPad - especially at the edge of the screen.

If you are able to download the app to your Mac, try it there. I noticed my mouse/trackpad works much better with getting some fine tuning on this.

100% agree with your post. I have spent several frustrating hours with the same result as you describe in your post. Have you figured anything out yet? It’s crazy making.

I already started to think it was me doing something wrong…
It’s a real nightmare to get it to work.
@eufy should fix this quickly.

It’s awful when you have two of them, which I have to have because they are so difficult to adjust I can’t do it with one. You’ll be adjusting one and it’ll randomly move the other instead. I tend to drag them way out of the way of the other one to try to shape it, then drag it to the bottom as it straightens itself when it hits the edges.
