Why did this video only record for four seconds? The human is still perfectly in view and it stops recording. Is this a setting that I have that I need to change?

Does it happen all the time?
I watched the video the total clip length is 11 seconds, but the playback stops/freezes and the progress bar continues to play out to the 11 seconds.
How long have you had this camera?
The micro SD card may be failing, try formatting it.
When you format the micro SD card you will lose any recordings that are on it.

Take a look at the 24/7 footage and see if it skips like the Event shows. I think you may have a wifi issue. It should have been a smooth recording from start to end.
What camera is this? I don’t think it has anything to do with placement of the camera. Eufy recommends offset from the driveway, not centered, you did that. the height looks good.
My E340 follows the person and would stay set on the person when it stops, in your case it should have followed the person to the right of the camera and held as they moved back to the truck.
If it has always happened it may be due to incorrect camera placement. A slight adjustment may work wonders
