This remark is not completely accurate friend. All your snapshot photos will reside on a server out in the cloud. So every time and alert is triggered, you are sending an image to bigbrother. Yeah they are using metadata and such from the cameras. It’s a F’ing privacy nightmare. Basically big brothers method to spy on you through the Patriot Act etc in the United States at least. EU has a little more tighter lock down on these privacy rules but not something I’m deeply looking into.
