In most cases, it is easy to get good splicing results. However, there are still some situations that may affect splicing accuracy probabilistically.

1. Blurry Image

The following situation may occur with at least one camera: People appear blurred in the picture because the camera is mounted too high, people are too far from the camera, or the camera lens may have fogged up early in the morning.

Advice: Adjust the camera position and angle.

2. Blocked View

The camera has an obstacle blocking the view of people.

Advice: Adjust the camera position and angle; Remove obstructions or clean off any dirt, etc.

3. Unsuitable Viewing Angle

At least one camera has an excessively large tilt angle, causing the AI to fail in recognizing the object in the frame as a human, because humans are upright, not tilted.

Advice: Adjust the camera position and angle.

4. Human Behavior

Changes in clothing or behavior as a person moves around may result in them being recognized as different people. For example, a person might be walking in front of camera A, but riding a bike in front of camera B. Or a person might put on a jacket in front of camera A and be seen walking without it in front of camera B.

Advice: Update the Homebase3 to the latest version to gain the most powerful capabilities.

5. Lighting Conditions

Black and white night vision video is challenging to track. Changes in lighting conditions, such as a person moving from bright outdoors in front of camera A while to dark indoors in front of camera B, or in and out of sunshine can affect recognition.

Advice: Adjust the camera position and angle; Add lighting to the environment.

We have tried numerous rules to retrieve as many associated videos as possible.
However, if you come across these situations, try the following:

  1. Adjust your camera. For instance, try changing the viewing angle, altering the installation location, and adding lights to the environment to assist at night.

  2. Find missing clips using the “search” feature on the tracking video player page.
