When I bought my eufyCam 2c kit it said there would be a way to add an external storage to the home base but then when I Recieved it and read the instructions it seems that this is actually not the case. Can anyone explain if this is the case or not? And if it is possible how do I do it.

If you have a Homebase 2, the advertised storage upgrade was never produced. Homebase 3 does have options for internal and external hardrives, but they are implemented poorly in the app and its not easy to move clips on and off that storage.
I would hazard a guess that Eufy’s developers have never actually tried to use their products in a real world scenario. That’s the only thing that would explain the strange design decisions in their app and cameras.

Thank you for posting your comment, that’s really disappointing to hear. But I guess for what I paid for the whole kit I really can’t complain a whole lot. It does work extremely well at least, I haven’t had any issues with it and I was really just wondering about the extra storage. Again thanks for posting, definitely appreciate the information now rather sitting here wondering or trying something and damaging my unit.
