After having Eufy home base with 4 cameras running a dream for the first few months, we are 4 days into a 3 week break and Home base is has been offline for 48 hours and we can’t reboot it? Neighbours have told us power and internet services are fine ( regional area). Don’t have anyone with keys to get inside but all looks ok from outside. Any suggestions to get the system up and running again
Hi. The link between router and base station might be broken. Are the cameras hard wired or wireless? We have reset our router and base station when we have had issues and it usually works. Another reason could be if your internet is running on 4g network when your nbn service is down. Check with the service provider and ask what speed is provided at the property. If it’s really poor, your camera system will not function as it should.
checking the back of house settings for your router online ( might Need to be at the property) or consult with a computer tech. To see any IP addresses are registered on your home system. You should see any device connected to your home network.hopefully one of those devices will be the camera system. We have wireless cameras in our property in regional vic. An area synonymous with power outages. If the cameras are wireless and need to be charged. This will cause the link between the router and base station to be broken.
your service provider should also be able to reset the router for you remotely.
best to be at the property to re- pair thE home base and router if nothing else works.
If your Homebase is using the Ethernet connection, first check and make sure the Ethernet cable from the router to the homebase is not faulty(causing intermittent issues). Ethernet Cables do go bad despite what some people think. If you believe the Ethernet Cable is good, try connecting the cable to a different port of your router. You could have bad ports on the back of the router.
Hopefully you will be elated when you return to find your recordings. I had an actual Internet outage and yet the cameras remained functional on their own WiFi. You can turn on remote access but, in my opinion, it opens things up to become more vulnerable.
I did end up having to reboot my ISP modem and my WiFi when I returned home.
