Alexa: "Front door isn´t responding..." - Echo Show 8

Hello!

I own Eufy Solo Cams S40 and E40.

Both are brand new and have the latest updates.

They don’t play live video on Amazon Echo Show 8 2nd gen.

In fact they are recognized by the app on iOS, but don’t work on Echo Show 8. Initially they worked, but after some update, none is working.

I have desinstalled/deactivated/reactivated both multiple times as well as the Eufy App and the Eufy Amazon/Echo Skill.

When I say "Alexa, show me the front door/ backyard, after some seconds I get the answer: “Front door isn´t responding… please, check it’s network conncetion and power supply”.

It’s disappointing!

Is ity possible to check this, please?

I got exact same problem with my S40. I can’t make them work anymore wih any of my alexa devices (fire TV, Echo Shows 8 gen 1 and 2, echo show 15 and Alexa App). I tried to delete the cams and the skill like you did. Did not help. Of course my camera is fully charged and very very close to the router. It works good with the eufy app though.

It was working until few months ago… it seems that ever since they “fixed” the security hole recently discovered it started failing for Alexa.

PS: I was planning to buy two 330 and a homebase 3. Eufy, please fix this before I change my mind ! I guess I won’t be the only one to hesitate if it’s not working with voice assistants.
