So had my Eufy cam for almost a month. Its been a painful experience. My phone dings every 30min when there is a motion. I don’t mind that. But if I go out to put something in my car it dings. When I come back to house dings. I put my rubbish out it dings. I come back in it dings.
Is there a way to notify only one and not 10x times for every step anyone makes? I find Nest excels here 100x times better and at this stage im considering remove eufy all together
It’s very annoying, but I have found a way to manage this in my case. I have both the floodlight cam and the doorbell. What I do to manage this is put the floodlight camera on a time based ‘schedule’ in the security tab. That way, I only get the motion notifications from the floodlight camera overnight when I wouldn’t be outside anyway. The obvious downside of this is that I also won’t get notified during the day if I am away from home, so as a workaround for that I have the doorbell cam on geo-fencing mode, so that if I am away I get doorbell motion notifications any time of day, and if home I don’t get doorbell motion notifications. On it’s own this is also not ideal, since I would want to know if there is motion detected overnight, but this way I still get those notification from the floodlight camera, just not the doorbell. This is a hybrid of the time based ‘schedule’ and the geo-fencing which only people with the luxury of two Eufy cameras in roughly the same area can do though. It would be good if Eufy would implement the combination of ‘geo-fencing’ and the schedule in the security tab, as others have pointed out on this forum.
