anyone ever experience this in camera views? looks like electricity from my roof ridge to the tree. it seems to set my camera off thru motion detection. never seen anything like it

My guess is cobweb or fine thread.

I’m willing to bet that it’s a piece of cobweb or something thin hanging by the camera area. Looks like the wind got a hold of it.

I agree with the majority “spider web” I get these all the time, very impressive at night because the night vision light reflects back on lenses sometimes looking like saucers. Get a pole and put a soft cloth on it to clean the lens and around it regularly.

That is very wild looking. If it isn’t cobweb or something in that nature I would take a volt meter and see if it is registering electricity in the open air. If it is you need to disconnect your camera quickly and move it. Good Luck 
I just figured it out I think.. I checked my camera and seen the same thing and it is glare from either sunlight or streetlight..
Probably spider web or dust
