Bizarre! "Night Vision Anomaly" on Eufy S340 — Camera Glitch, Optical Artifact, or Something Paranormal?

Hey everyone,

I captured a really strange clip on my Eufy S340 filming down a quiet indoor hallway in IR night vision mode.

Look, part of me secretly hopes I caught something paranormal on video as I was specifically at this location for that purpose, but logically I’m 99% sure it’s going to turn out to be a weird camera glitch, software bug, or optical artifact. That said, it doesn’t look like any standard bug, dust mote, or frame corruption I’ve ever seen across hundreds of night vision clips that I’ve personally come across before.

It appears as a translucent grey wave or band sweeping across the frame. What makes it particularly odd and why I’m posting here is that it physically bends and distorts the environment behind it at the sides of where it comes from and leaves at, which is solid matter. As it moves across, you can clearly see the straight lines of the dark skirting board, (left) the metal doorframe, (right) and the white foam block (middle) warping and curving upward through the translucent wave.

Setup Details:

Camera: Eufy S340 (Dual-Lens)

Mode: IR Night Vision

Location: Indoor hallway (Allegedly Haunted)

Has anyone seen the S340’s processing pipeline, dual-lens merging, or temporal noise reduction create a localized spatial distortion like this before? What optical or sensor mechanism would cause the background geometry to warp across a moving band?

(Video has been slowed down by 50%)

Would love to hear technical thoughts (or spooky theories if you’ve got 'em)!

Here is the warping of the solid matter environment behind/through the anomaly distortion.
